AMERICAN in ACTION IS AN ORGANIZATION CREATED TO BRING HOPE TO OUR COMMUNITIES Raising up funds to full-fill the lives of people living below the poverty line through the collection of Clothes, Shoes, Toys and Books in good condition.
These items are deposited in containers located on public roads and collection centers. The collected items are resold in the US and abroad, thus generating new revenue for companies and non-profit organizations within the USA, helping them to improve the economy of the Third World countries.
Our association is committed to having the recycling system divert millions of pounds of clothing from landfills to REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE the unwanted items.

 

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer upcycled alternatives to clothing, shoes and toys as a way to reduce global waste. We aim to educate consumers on the benefits of upcycling, so when given the choice, they purchase an upcycled product over selecting a new one.

Reuse

With the use of clothes, used footwear, the amount of toxic waste generated by the constant production of new textiles is minimized, thus reducing the environmental impacts on our planet, thereby generating awareness and education for our future generations.

Reduce

Give utility to garments, footwear, toys, until its useful life expires, without adding any transformation process. As a result, the volume of garbage decreases and reduces the impact on the environment, protecting the ozone layer and maintaining the balance within the atmospheric changes present on the planet.

 

Recycle

Recycling used clothing, toys, shoes, avoids complex industrial processes, contributes to saving water, energy and a lower production of waste.

The Impact we can do together

We can work together to give a second life-cycle to clothes, shoes and toys making the world a better and cleaner place for people to live. For many people it may be garbage, but for us it is the raw material and the opportunity for many unemployed people to reach economic autonomy and improve their quality of life. Give them a chance to improve, while helping those with a high level of poverty to get these items.

Our association is an organization focusing on citizenship, therefore, opinions and participation of people in all our activities is the key to increase our community and help other people that really need.
