About us
America in Action was created to bring hope to our communities, raising funds to improve the lives of people living below the poverty line through the collection of clothes, shoes, toys and books in good condition. These items are deposited in containers located on public roads and at collection centers, then resold in the US and abroad, generating revenue for companies and non-profit organizations and helping improve economies in developing countries.

Our mission
To offer upcycled alternatives to clothing, shoes and toys as a way to reduce global waste, and to educate consumers on the benefits of upcycling so that, when given the choice, they pick an upcycled product over a new one.
Reuse
Using second-hand clothing and footwear minimizes the toxic waste generated by constant production of new textiles, reducing environmental impact and building awareness for future generations.
Reduce
Give garments, footwear and toys full use until their life expires, with no transformation process. The volume of garbage drops and so does the impact on the environment.
Recycle
Recycling used clothing, toys and shoes avoids complex industrial processes and saves water and energy while producing less waste.
The impact we can make together
Together we can give clothes, shoes and toys a second life cycle and make the world cleaner. For many people these items are garbage. For us they are raw material and an opportunity for unemployed people to reach economic autonomy.
Our responsibilities to you
- Frequent pick-up
- Cleaning the area around the drop box
- A long-term relationship with attention to each partner's requirements
Trying to receive without giving something first is as sterile as wanting to reap without having sown.
